The ESO measuring heads are designed for noncontact measurement of wall thickness on glass containers. Two models are available to accommodate different wall thicknesses, operating ranges, and measurement tasks.

Thanks to their compact dimensions, the measuring heads can be positioned close to the item and precisely at the desired measuring location.

The choice of measuring head depends on the item being inspected and the desired measurement position. The two variants differ, among other things, in terms of wall thickness range, working range, and permissible angle relative to the glass surface.

ESO 17-mm measuring head

The ESO 17-mm measuring head is suitable for round and non-round containers, as well as for tinted and dark glass. A typical application is measuring the wall thickness of wine bottles.

ESO 7-mm measuring head

The ESO 7-mm measuring head is particularly well-suited for round containers and clear glass. Thanks to its measurement range, it can also be used for measurements near the bottom of containers.
