The GSMneo combines flexible container handling with a versatile configurable inspection architecture.
Servo-driven movements enable precise guidance and positioning. Infeed, rotation and outfeed are configured and adjusted to suit the container.
The required tooling is designed and manufactured in-house. This also makes it possible to accommodate special geometries and shaped containers.
Up to 7 inspection stations and up to 64 error counters allow different inspection configurations. Integrated inspection methods can be combined according to the task and supplemented with external inspection systems from other suppliers.
Sensors with a 4-20 mA or 0-10 V signal can be integrated directly into the inspection architecture. Single-channel, 2-channel and differential measurements are supported.
In addition to the integrated inspection methods, inspection systems from other suppliers can also be integrated into the GSMneo.
Shaped containers and other non-round geometries place special demands on transport through the inspection machine. The GSMneo adapts infeed, rotation and positioning to the respective container.
The infeed stopper can be synchronised with the position of the infeed screw. This allows containers to enter the screw pockets in a controlled way. Especially with shaped containers, this ensures controlled transfer into the machine.
This allows even demanding container geometries to be guided through the inspection process in a controlled manner.
Rotation and positioning can be adjusted for each inspection station and stored as container-specific parameters. Servo drives minimise the need for manual mechanical adjustments and support low-maintenance operation.
Container and drive parameters are stored in the article database and are available again when the container is recalled.
The inspection platform automatically moves to the stored container height. Inspections in the mouth area therefore do not need to be readjusted in height and only have to be aligned radially.
Container changeover can be carried out completely from the operator side. The movable inspection platform improves access to container-specific components.

For caliber and planarity inspection, linear drives handle the stroke adjustment. The values are set via the user interface and stored for each container.
Less manual adjustment makes repeated changeovers easier.
The GSMneo has been designed to keep mechanical adjustments and lubrication requirements to a minimum.
Electric and linear drives are used for various adjustments. Maintenance-free bearings are used in large parts of the machine.
Good accessibility of the components also supports maintenance and service work.
We develop and manufacture many GSMneo components ourselves. This includes our own inspection and measurement systems as well as container-specific tooling for infeed, rotation and outfeed.
Particularly with special container geometries, machine and tooling can therefore be matched directly to each other. Because engineering and manufacturing take place in-house, required components can also be implemented without long external coordination. This can also have a positive effect on delivery times.

Option A
The GSMneo can be integrated directly into the production flow. In this case, all containers pass through the machine during regular line operation.
Option B
Alternatively, the GSMneo can be connected to an existing line as an additional inspection machine. Using a corresponding line layout with a diverter, containers are routed to the GSMneo when required.
For data exchange, the machine can communicate with a line information system such as iAFIS or EASIER. Inspection systems from other suppliers can also be integrated into the GSMneo.

¹ A total of 8 card slots are available for crack inspection and analogue measurements. Each slot can be equipped with either a crack inspection card or an analogue card. An analogue card has 4 channels. A maximum of 2 channels can be used simultaneously for one measurement. Analogue sensors with an output signal of 4-20 mA or 0-10 V are supported.
